This image shows the first section of trusses going up on the Parish Hall. The top of them are flat because they had to be shipped in sections to get them down the road. The rest of the trusses are in a pile on top to be installed later.

This image is a closer view of the new trusses. The green and white “walls” are part of the fire walls that seperate the sections of the building so fire will not spread. If you look down in the right corner you can see some “orange” brick that is the end wall of the Parish Hall. This picture was taken from atop the scafolding that has be built to build north wall of the Activities Center.

This image shows another view of the new trusses. It was taken from “inside” the trusses looking toward the church. From this angle it looks as if this section of the building is taller than the church, but it is not.

In this image you can see the trusses sitting on the ground ready to be placed on the roof of the Parish Hall. (I was a day off of when they were going up, and that will happen tomorrow I think.)

This picture should give you a better idea of how high up the front wall really is, and it’s not done yet.

It has been rumored that the trusses will be set on the Parish Hall portion of the building tomorrow, but this picture does not show much of that area. (Just a little on the far left). This image shows the second main wall continuing to go up.

This image is taken from across Center Street. This wall looks tall, but only for the time being. The locker rooms, bathrooms, and enterance way will be just infront of the wall helping to break up the large flat area.

This image shows the walls continuing to go up. In the forground is the mechanical, electrical and storage rooms. In the background is the front wall of the Activities Center, that devides the main area from the locker rooms, and bathrooms.

This picture doesn’t show you much, but I thought it looked cool. It was taken between the front of the building, and center street, looking to the west. The scafold is set up to continue the wall shown in the first picture of the post.

This image shows the workers working, imagine that, on the North and East walls of the Activities Center.

If you look into the background of this picture you can see the Activities Center wall rising above the Parish Hall and Library.

Here is the result of what was complete at the end of the day friday. If you look behind the pile of blocks near the middle of the picture you can see the enterance to the locker room area, and a little to the right of this you can see one of the emergency exits.

Today the other walls went up farther, but the progress was not easily visible. Today’s picture is another view of the first wall that was finished. This is its final height.

In this picture …or rather two pictures if you look closely… you can see the first wall at its complete height of 36 blocks.

From this angle the wall does not look that tall, but it is nearing its final height. There is about 3-5′ more that needs to go up.

This image shows the enterance and from here you can see the height of the wall.
