This image show the front of the building. You can see they got a bunch of the brick on, and some the glass block windows installed also.

This image shows the cement floor in the mechanical room. The other electrical / storage room also has the floor poured.

The floor for the main part of the building is starting to be compacted and leveled for concrete installation in the near future.

Here is another view of the glass block, but this time, it is from the inside of the building.
Stay tuned, things are starting to happen at an accelerated rate.

This image shows the brick going up on the east end of the locker rooms. Almost the entire brown band went up on this wall today.
Now that the scaffolding is down you can see the interior of the locker room and bathrooms. There are more divider walls to be built, but the ground has to be completely thawed before that can happen.

This image shows another view of the locker room area. This door is an emergency exit out of the boys rocker room.

Another view of the brick that is going up on the outside of the locker room area. This is the north wall (near center street).

In this image you can see they are getting ready to start putting the brick on above the windows.

The scafolding has been taken down and the overhang is complete, until the sofit goes up.

If we take a peak under the tarp we can see the brick has been going up. This picture is taken near the emergency exits from the locker rooms, on the wall facing North.

This image was from Monday, but shows the duct work going up.

The sun kinda got in the way, but here is an image of the finished walls for the mechanical and electrical rooms.

This is the top view of the walls for the mechanical and electrical rooms.

It has been a little while since I last posted pictures, so I’ll add a few extra today.

This image shows the entrance way, and some of the styrofoam and plywood going on. The enterance will look simular to the other school entrances, only larger.

A look up at the wall that is being worked on near the “back” of the project. This wall is the outside wall of the mechanical and electrical room.

This image shows the sea of shingles that are currently on 1/2 of the main activities center area. This image is taken looking toward the North.

This image is looking down from the top into the mechanical room. Yes, the tree branch is cemented into that top row of blocks…

Any body want to play Plinko? This is an image of the back wall looking up. These anchors will anchor the brick when it is installed.

This images shows the frames for the glass windows that will let natural light into the locker rooms.

This is the “title”picture for this post. As you can see the first of the bricks have been laid. By keeping the scaffold and tarp tent up the workers will be able to work “inside” while it is cold in the morning, and continue working on the rest of the block work during the warmer afternoon hours.

Here is a shot into the main area from the North-East emergency exit door. Looking toward the enterance to the parish hall.

This image is looking into the enterance area.

This image shows the space behind the plastic tarping this space will make up the bathrooms and locker rooms. They are actually working between this wall and the tarp.

This image shows more of the roof panels going on.

This image shows the progress on the “back” of the building, where the mechanical and electrical rooms will be along with a little activities storage.

Now that the weather has warmed up a little some more progress is being made. In the above image you can see the entrance way begining to take shape.

This is another view of the enterance way. The doors will be to the left of this image, and to the right of the mini wall with orange toppers on it will be some windows.

The gap in the back wall has been filled up. The holes that you see in the back wall that are not doors, will be for the ventilation system.
Check back soon, as now that the weather is not so frigid cold, progress will start picking back up.

This view does not show you much of the new building project, but it does show some of the new roof.

This image is looking toward the town of Millington. You can see the finished trusses. No, I am not standing on the steel trusses, the other half of the roof is covered with the tectum deck sandwitch.

If you look off in the distance you can see the Millington water tower.

This is a close up view of the cross. If you look to the right of the image you can see the entire wall down to the what will be the floor of the Activities Center.

For those of you that were wondering what was going on uder the large scafold tent. Here is the left wall of the entry way in the forground. The wall was hard to photograph with all the scafolding, but that should be comming down soon as it looks complete. I will take more pictures there.
